Each team should have a minimum of 8 full time players and a max of 12, including a goalie. All players are required to maintain USA Hockey registrations. Players must be rostered minimum of 6 weeks before playoffs to be eligible to play in the playoffs. Teams will generally play once a week (subject to unforeseen rink maintenance down times). Games are 45 minutes played in three 15 minute run time periods.
Free Agents: We do not place incoming individual players on teams. However, captains from time to time search for new players on a permanent or substitute basis. It's a captain's responsibility to ensure they have a sufficient roster. If you are are not on a team and want to be included on the free agent roster, first register at https://tvahl.com/register.pl. Once registered send us an email indicating you want to be included on the free agent roster. Note that your player bio / background information is important to fill out, and is how captains review players.
Referees: Interested in refereeing 3v3 hockey? Sign up with your information at our referee registration link. Refs should have several years of playing experience, be capable of skating end-to-end of a 100ft ice sheet in about 5 seconds, and be familiar with common penalties and player infractions. Refs are required to be USA Hockey registered, and must wear skates, hockey player shin guards, a player cup, elbow pads, a player helmet (without a cage), and must have their own reffing whistle.
